The beginning of April gave us another nice weekend for riding. We had nice cool temperatures on both days and not a hint of rain. Spring is definitely here in Florida. There were birds singing and flowers blooming everywhere. Soon it will be nothing but hot and humidity of Summer around here so these last weeks of nice Spring weather have to be enjoyed.

It was perfect by the lake. There were tiny frogs jumping through
 the water, but they were to quick to get a picture.

The airport is nearby so sometimes you can read the side
 of the planes if they are low enough.

A nice long weekend with three long rides. I went over 120 miles over the weekend. The weather didn't cooperate very well. I had one nice day and then spent the rest of the weekend fighting rain and winds up to 30 mph. But bad weather or not I still enjoyed my rides. I saw the ghost chickens that show up out of nowhere randomly and saw two deer but I wasn't able to get any pictures of them.

I pretty much had the trail to myself most of the weekend. The wind
and rain kept everyone home.

The wind wore me down each day. It was time for a break.

I sometimes see otters in this little pond, but just the nice fountain today.

A nice weekend of nice long rides. One of 35 and then 42 miles on Sunday. Maybe not long rides by most standards but long rides for me. Nice cool temperatures and nice spring breezes both days. Hardly anyone on the trails again. They missed out on a great weekend of riding.

Cool temperatures and beautiful weather was the rule for a great weekend of riding. I got in a nice 35 and 30 mile ride. I so much enjoy the weather we have in the late winter early spring. Plenty of people were out on the trail all weekend and sometimes you had to be careful with a traffic jam here and there.

I got three rides in this weekend. We had nice cold temperatures all weekend. I started out in the upper thirties and finished in the fifties each day. The cold temps meant I was one of the few riders on the trail since most bicyclist disappear when it gets cold in Florida. I was hoping for one longer ride but I ended up with three in the thirty mile range. A great weekend of riding.

The weekend of the 23rd and 24 was a tough weather weekend. Saturday, I had to endure temperatures in the upper eighties and on Sunday with downpours of rain and lightning. I survived the heat one day and got soaked on Sunday and needed at least a hour to dry out so my ride on Sunday was only around 25/26 miles. Even though the weather didn't play nice I still had a nice weekend of riding.

 

Soon there will be a housing project here. I will miss the fields and the trees.

A great weekend to get out and enjoy the cold weather. It was in the upper thirties both days. The wind made riding a bit of a challenge both days but the chilly air made it all worthwhile. Riding with the clear cold air is much better then the hot humid air we get during the summer.
